The Abshot Community Centre was opened in 1980 for use by the local community. The Centre is run and managed by a voluntary Abshot Community Association (ACA) committee and is registered as a charitable organisation. We offer a local, convenient, and well-maintained event space than is used for numerous community activities such as regular user groups, themed fun days for the family, tribute acts, pantomimes, treasure hunts, regular quiz nights and other events on a regular, or one-off basis.
The Sovereign Social Club is a licenced facility provided on site with the prime aim of providing a social bar and function area for the ACA members. With cheap prices, a pool table, two large TVs showing sporting events including Sky TV, a meat raffle on alternate Sundays, music events, plus much more, and with membership only costing £7.50 (£3.50 for over 65s) for the entire year, why not pop in and say hello???
Whether you become a member, user group or just wish to participate in the events and functions taking place, you may be assured of a warm welcome from all of us. It is a community centre provided for and run by the local community, join us, in whatever capacity, and help ensure that we are able to provide a community service for another 40 years.
